& Bodybuilding

Though professionally, I took on a creative path, fitness, health, and wellness have always been my passion. Working out since 2013 has not only maintained the quality of my life, but it also played a significant role in my conditioning as a performing artist. Taking things to the next level, I was encouraged to take up bodybuilding in 2024. Placing top 5 in my first two competitions, I knew I had a knack for taking on any challenge.

As I move through this fitness journey, I am embarking on getting a certification for group fitness instruction and precision nutritional level 1. Today, I document my journey on YouTube to showcase the melanin (“black”) representation in the bodybuilding sport. When I look up female bodybuilding content, very few results show up. Similar to my art, my goal is to inspire and show what’s possible for others.

Documentary: Built Different: Transforming for My First Bodybuilding Show

This video blog-style documentary follows everything from lifestyle changes and mental hurdles to posing prep and peak week, all leading up to my debut on stage in Grand Rapids. Whether you're a fellow competitor, a fitness enthusiast, or someone curious about what it takes to prepare for a bodybuilding competition, this video is for you. In this 70-minute doc, I share the full experience: my fitness background, what drew me to bodybuilding, how I trained and posed, and how I balanced it all with travel and career. Expect laughs, sweat, nerves, and a whole lot of growth.
